The PA and the Centre Social et Culturel hosted a meeting this past Thursday June 6 concerning the Extracurricular Services. The meeting presented the results of the survey concerning the current year as well as introduced some changes for next year.
What are the main changes for the 2024-2025 school year?
- Change in reservation deadlines (48 business hours instead of 4 days).
- Double billing in case of non-reservation (The Centre Social is understanding if its an exceptional case).
- 2 late arrivals (after 6:30pm) authorized for pickup from after-school care after which €7.50 will be billed.
- Introduction of after-school referents (1 per primary class). They will spend 2 mornings a week in class to ensure the continuity of what is learned in the classroom to after-school care.
- Extracurricular activities will be replaced by mini clubs. Registration will be by trimester instead of yearly. The price will be 40€ /trimester (i.e. 120€ per year vs 225€ today)
- 5% price increase (due to inflation) – the city of Marcq is applying the same increase to their prices.
The mini-club program will be sent to you over the summer, and you can register your child for a mini-club for the first term from mid-August. Mini-clubs will be run by the extracurricular staff (all of whom are trained in the activities they propose).
