ACTIONS

For several years now, we’ve been working with the school on a number of initiatives, notably the School Ecomobility Challenge for all three levels (nursery and primary in October, secondary in March).

Similarly, our group is involved with the school in the national May Bike Challenge, enabling families to meet and ride together during the month of May, accumulating kilometers pedaled.

During the month of May, the group has also set up the Wednesday Café as a recurring convivial moment for exchanging ideas on the issue of mobility in general.

The group is also involved in other, more occasional actions:

  • Making the area around the school safer, volunteer parents, known as “parents fluos”, position themselves on the crosswalks around the school, particularly during the winter months.
  • Promoting road safety, the group has sold high-vis vests to school families, both adults and children.
  • Developing car-pooling or grouped trips on public transport, by helping to put families in the same neighborhood in touch with each other.

Finally, the group is working closely with the school to implement the School Mobility Plan (PDES) for the new school site in conjunction with Lycée Kernanec and  various local authorities.
