Your involvement is essential to the success and growth of the PA. Whether you have time to spare on a one-off basis or over longer periods, the work groups (or WGs) were created to involve as many parents as possible and enable you to be at the core of the organization.
Here is a list of the WGs and a brief presentation of their missions and actions :
Library: This group is responsible for organizing and managing the M&P school library (S students have a library managed by the school). The members are committed to enriching the library’s collection and help promote reading among students. To find out more >>
Cultural Diversity: The role of this group is to promote respect and appreciation of the different cultures within the school. It organizes events and activities that showcase the rich cultural diversity of our community. To find out more >>
Eco School: This group is dedicated to raising student awareness of environmental issues and the importance of sustainability as well as social solidarity. It implements initiatives to make the school a greener place and educate students about environmental issues. To find out more >>
Eco Mobility: The Mobility group works on sustainable mobility solutions for the journey to and from school. The group is involved in initiatives such as carpooling, encouraging walking and cycling, etc. To find out more >>
Afterschool: This group coordinates and organizes the care services (périscolaire) and extracurricular activities, contributing to balanced learning and personal development of each student outside of school hours. To find out more >>
Fundraising: The fundraising group’s mission is to raise the funds needed for the PA’s activities, notably through sponsorship, partnerships and the organization of events. The group is made up of enthusiastic, competent, supportive, and committed parents who contribute to the success of various projects: organization of class photos, publication of the yearbook, Easy Mercredis, etc. To find out more >>
Secondary: In 2023, a group of motivated parents formed a new group devoted to projects that mainly concern the S students in conjunction with school management. These include mobility between European schools (for S4 and S5 students), preparation for higher education, an internship database, involvement of secondary school pupils in school-wide events (Winter Festival, end-of-year party, etc.) and the organization of events for secondary school pupils (end-of-year ball, lunchtime clubs, etc.). Sponsorships: This is a new group whose objective is to develop partnerships with businesses and other entities to help fund school trips to reduce the costs to families as well as extracurricular services. More info coming soon. If you have experience in this domain, please contact us.
