One of the objectives of the Ecomobility Work Group is to think how to keep everyone safe on their home-school journeys (and beyond). We encourage everyone cycling or using a scooter to wear helmets and stay visible by using high-vis vests and lights.

This past October 14-18 was the School Ecomobility Challenge for M/P students sponsored by the Hauts de France region. In conjunction with participation led by the school, the members of the Ecomobility work group proposed 2 actions:

  • Distribution of bike light kits (donated by the ADAV) for students with little or no equipment.
  • A sale of high-vis vests with the PA EELM logo.

Over the course of the week, parent volunteers distributed 25 reflectors, 30 front lights, and 15 back lights to mainly P and S students.

Many parents also took the opportunity to purchase a high-vis vest for their child or themselves. As a reminder, all profits raised go towards school projects and trips. We thank you for your continued support.

The entire PA team hopes that both student and parent cyclists will stay safe as we head into the darker winter months.
